BANNED BATS and LEGAL BATS

240 Stamp   Old Stamp

ONLY 240 BATS ALLOWED

As you may know, there was a temporary ban on Suncoast and Juno Bats. They had testing issues and it was deemed a safety issue

the Juno bats have been reinstated,.........

The SunCoast banned models are listed below

Suncoast | SR12MUCETE
Suncoast | SRM12AASE
Suncoast | SR12MUCE
Suncoast | SRMAASE
Suncoast | SRMAASB
Suncoast | SRMUSE
Suncoast | SR12MUSE
Suncoast | SRMUSB
Suncoast | SR12MUSB

Please understand that "player safety" was first and foremost in the decision to move to "240" bats.

USSSA was the pioneer in bat technology for slowpitch softball and contributes a lot of resources to ensuring there is a balance between performance and safety in equipment.

Courtesy Runner Rule

The Bandit Runner may be anyone on the roster. He must be designated before the game begins. He will be the Bandit Runner for the remainder of the game. He may run for anyone at any time. If he is also in the batting lineup, and his turn at bat occurs while he/she is on base, his position in the batting order will be an out. There shall be no other penalty.

The Bandit role may not be substituted.  A Bandit Runner may be replaced on the base only by the player he/she is running for at the time. The Bandit Runner role is then lost for the remainder of the game. As stated earlier……..if his “turn at bat” occurs and he is ON BASE, an out will be recorded for his/her position in the batting order. There are NO exceptions. His turn at bat occurs when the previous batters turn at bat has ended. “Play Ball” or “Batter Up” need not be indicated for his turn at bat to occur.  The ONLY way an out is recorded per the Bandit runner is if the runner is caught on base and it his his turn to bat.  If anyone other that the Bandit Runner assumes a position on the base to run for another player and is not announced as a legal substitute, the baserunners will be declared out.  NO additional runner for the pitcher.
