Home runs will be tracked by sheets picked up from the check in table. Turn these in AFTER EACH GAME. Even if you do not think you are going to win, we need these tracked!
Bombs Away General Rules
General rules for Saturday's Bombs Away event.
Approved bats only.
Pitch to your own team, 2 pitch. If the batter doesn't swing at the second pitch he is declared out. Hopefully in some fun fashion.
Screens must be used. Hitting the screen on the first pitch is a foul ball. Second pitch must be fair, therefore hitting the net or a foul ball results in an out.
If the pitcher touches the ball off the bat, intentionally or unintentionally the ball is declared dead. The batter is out, and all runners return to where they started.
There is still a batters box. No back foot in front of the plate. If you step out of the batters box and make contact, expect to be called out. Also ask your pitcher to through the ball in the correct zip code next time.
You play 10 in the field. No one behind the pitcher net except the offensive pitcher. Yes - all 10 can play left field if you want, we don't care.
Each team can have a designated pitcher who is not in the line up to pitch. See Timmy J prior to your games if you do this.
Open runners.
55 minutes - finish the inning all day. 9 p.m. curfew. Games cannot end in tie. Extra innings may be modified into 1 pitch and even adding players to bases in extra innings. We have to stay on schedule! :)
9 p.m. curfew - all teams must be ready to play up to 36 minutes before their second scheduled game.
Clean your dugouts!
Directors, staff, photographers, and videographers will be on the field. Have fun and interact!
No alcohol, drugs, or smoking (includes vaping) on the field or near the complex.
Dogs on leashes (may ask them to be removed).
Don't be a butthole.
