SENIOR EQUALIZER and COURTESY RUNNER RULES

BobbyReaves Masonry is 50AA they will receive the equaizer below in all games

Nor'Easter AAA will give the equalizer in all games

8. EQUALIZER RULES
8.1. When a lower-class or older age group team is playing a higher-class or
younger age group team, lower or older team will have one out of two
options:
8.1.1. OPTION 1 - Five (5) runs per game (Awarded one (1) run an
inning for the first 5 innings)
8.1.2. OPTION 2 - 11th defensive player
8.1.3. There is no automatic Home team for teams giving up an
equalizer. When teams are equalized after granting an equalizer,
a double coin-toss will determine Home team advantage with the
exception of the Championship game (see rule 5.3.5.).


5.5. Courtesy Runner (Unlimited) - Any legal player on the team’s roster
can be a courtesy runner, but only once per inning.

Pool Play Bracket Play (All Divisions)

We will play 2 Pool Play Games after which Teams will be seeded into a Double Elim bracket seeded by Pool Play Results

Pool Play games that are tied after the last or last  announced inning will end in a tie.

Pool Standing Criteria

Pool Standings Sorted on the following:

2) Number Wins - Descending
3) Number Loses - Ascending
4) Tied Teams (vs. each other) Winning Pct - Descending [Not valid if all tied teams have not played each other]
5) Avg Points Allowed - Ascending
6) Avg Run Differential with a maximum of (100) - Descending
7) USSSA Points - Descending
8) Date Team Entered USSSA Database

Once past a tie breaker do not return to previous

Home Run Rule All Divisions

Home Run Rules

Seniors 1 DHH + 2 HRs and 1 up

Mens E 1 DHH + 2 HRs

Pool Play and Bracket Play 

All Pool games will be Time Limit.   After 55 minutes, we will finish the current inning ONLY 

Pool games tied after 7 innings or Time Limit will end in a tie. 

All Bracket  games will be Time Limit.   After 50 minutes, we will finish the current inning and play one more.

As you may know, there was a temporary ban on Suncoast and Juno Bats. They had testing issues the bats were deemed a safety issue

the Juno bats have been reinstated,.........

Please understand that "player safety" was first and foremost in the decision to move to "240" bats.

USSSA was the pioneer in bat technology for slowpitch softball and contributes a lot of resources to ensuring there is a balance between performance and safety in equipment.

Any USSSA or GSL  Classic M - Classic Plus - Pro M  Stamped Ball may be used.

Seniors may also use the Senior Ball

Senior Bat Rules

SENIORS
Age groups 40+ and Above may use any bat Stamped 1.21 BPF
Senior. It does not have to be USSSA stamped until they are
available. However, it must be from a USSSA licensed
manufacturer. May also use the 220 or 240 USSSA stamped
bats. Both 220 & 240 USSSA stamped bats must pass 220
compression. Bats must be on the USSSA Approved
Manufacturers List. WITHDRAWN AND/OR NON-COMPLIANT
SOFTBALL BAT MODELS will not be allowed.

COACHES / PLAYERS PLEASE READ!

We appreciate your participation in this event. We value your patronage to USSSA.  

Therefore............

If at any time during a game in this event, you feel the need to speak with a director, please inform your umpire. He has been instructed to grant your request. This request needs to come from the coach.                                           Do NOT let the game continue. We cannot fix anything after play has continued or a subsequent pitch is thrown. This does not mean anything other than the fact that you will be able to speak with a director. Erroneous rule interpretations may be corrected. Judgement calls are always at the discretion of the Umpire.
