Event Updates
POOL PLAY / BRACKET PLAY
We will have Pool Play which will be followed by Bracket Play
All Pool games will be Time Limit. After 50 minutes, we will finish the current inning ONLY
Pool games tied after 7 innings or Time Limit will end in a tie.
All Bracket games will be Time Limit. After 50 minutes, we will finish the current inning and play 1 more.
Teams will be seeded into Bracket Play using the following criteria.
Pool Standings Sorted on the following:--------------------------------------------------
1) Winning Percentage - Descending
2) Number Wins - Descending
3) Number Loses - Ascending
4) Tied Teams (vs. each other) Winning Pct - Descending [Not valid if all tied teams have not played each other]
5) Avg Points Allowed - Ascending
6) Avg Run Differential with a maximum of (100) - Descending
7) USSSA Points - Descending
8) Date Team Entered USSSA Database
Once past a tie breaker do not return to previous

If at any time during a game in this event, you feel the need to speak with a director, for any reason, please inform your umpire. He or She has been instructed to grant your request. This request needs to come from the coach. Do NOT let the game continue. We cannot fix anything after play has continued. This does not mean anything other than you will be able to speak with a director. Erroneous rule interpretations may be corrected. Judgement calls are always at the discretion of the Umpire.

Equalizer/ Home Runs/Time Limits
The REC teams will receivie an Equalizer. It will be 5 runs or and additional Fielder.
We will do a coin toss to determine Home Team.
Home Run Rule will be 1 DHH + 2 HRS
Time limits will be
50mins, finish the inning in Pool Play 50, finish plus 1 in Bracket Play

https://ncslowpitch.usssa.com/state-rules/- Floating Rubber Pitchers will not be required to “toe” the pitching rubber. They may be up to 6’ behind the pitching rubber and within the pitching box. (Seniors Play National Rule)
- Starting lineups Teams may start with 8 players. Teams starting with 8 or 9 do not have to take an out for the missing players. Teams starting with less than 10 may add up to 10 when available but they must be added to the bottom of lineup.
- A Batter who “bats” a ball, Fair or Foul, with an illegal bat will be declared out. This is an “APPEAL PLAY” which must be appealed by the defense before the next pitch is thrown
